I am an endocrinologist and enthusiast about all things hormones. On this I blog I share my ideas and insights related to how your hormones are affecting you every single day. In doing so, I hope to help you live more confident in your health.
In my day job I am a private practice endocrinologist at Park Avenue Endocrinology and Nutrition and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU Langone Hospital and Hofstra University School of Medicine. I have more than ten years of clinical experience. Daily, I consult with patients regarding thyroid disease, PCOS, nutrition and weight loss, and diabetes. I am particularly interested in endocrine diseases affecting women during the reproductive years, pregnancy and through perimenopause.
My path to medicine was winding and while I was taking that journey, I also met my husband and started my family. I have shared my experience balancing motherhood and medical training on several podcasts including The Mom Hour, Simple Families, and Best of Both Worlds.
I have had the privilege of making several media appearances talking about endocrinology at NBC News and Readers Digest among others.
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up I studied ballet, theater and vocal performance. While no longer dancing and singing, I place a huge value on arts education and am the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Notes in Motion/Amanda Selwyn Dance. I live in Westchester, New York with my amazing husband and our four crazy kiddos.
